While we wait for various mods to be updated and stable (mainly GT here), would anyone be interested in having a different modpack running?

I'm open to suggestions for some good 1.10 or 1.12 packs to tide us over.

Some neat in game GIFs today.

I've decided that its likely we'll go with TIS-3D as our computer mod. OpenComputers is still on the table, though it would likely be much later game if included at all.

Here's a GIF of a simple program I wrote to check the smelting progress in a furnace.

Just released another update to deal with a bug in GT through minetweaker.

It looks like some issues with hammers aren't going to be fixed until the 1.12 release which may still be a while, so we'll have to deal with them.

Hammers don't prospect and harvest most ores normally instead of crushing.

To fix this I've made redstone crushable through Craftweaker, as this should be the only thing you have to crush to get started with a macerator which will work for other ores.

@bloxgate Smelting Iron Nuggets gives Steel Nuggets rather than Wrought Iron in a normal furnace

I've just pushed an update to fix that. Should just have to hit the update pack button in your launcher.

Pre-Alpha 0.0.4 Released
  • Config tweaks
  • JourneyMap is now a default optional mod
  • FoamFix Lawful is now a default optional mod
  • Faithful 32x Modded Edition resource pack is now available from the optional mod selection
  • FoamFix Anarchy is now available as an optional mod
Notes:
  • Enabling both FoamFix Lawful and Anarchy may cause issues, including crashes or neither mod functioning.
Mod Suggestions
I am now taking suggestions for mods to add to the pack, before the final tech tree is decided and recipe tweaks are started.


If you have any suggestions for mods, please let me know. Preferably post them here as well so people can see what is being requested. GT compatible magic mods are especially high priority at the moment, as none have been added yet.

Pre-Alpha 0.0.3 Released

Those of you with pre-alpha access should now have access to this.
  • Add Railcraft
  • Add Pam's Harvest Craft
  • Add Forestry
  • Add AE2
Notes:
  • Recipes have not yet been customized
  • Charged Certus likely cannot be found in world. You can make fluix using a mixer instead and get a charger that way.

I've sent instructions on how to access a very very early pre-alpha build of the pack to a few people. The build will be periodically updated as I work on getting stuff ready. Apparently GT should be playable albeit a bit buggy, so I'm starting on recipe tweaks and adding other mods in soon^tm.

Hello everyone!

I've narrowed down the pack choices and have a final pack in mind.

It is going to be a Gregtech based 1.10 pack. It'll take a little while to put together since 1.10 builds of GT are still being developed, but expect to see some of your favorites from the current server make it in as well, alongside some new ones.

This pack will be harder than the 1.7 pack, but I'm hoping that it'll take longer for people to hit the end game and just give up on playing.

Now time for some mentions to some of our players: @ToxicTeddy @Dragonslayer7516 @xInf3rn0 @Shifty @skygreencat

This is a quick little thread to share any experiences or pictures relating to the eclipse earlier today.

Sadly I wasn't able to be within the path of totality so my pictures aren't that good.

I tried to take a picture through my eclipse glasses, but sadly my phone's photosensor couldn't make out the moon at all thanks to the sliver of sun that was visible. (And yes, I checked, it was actually seeing the light and not its own flash  :P )

Hey everyone, just a heads up that I'm going to be AFK for a while.

It's currently move-in week at my college so I've been real busy getting everything situated. Haven't had a chance to even login to steam at all for most of the past week.

If you need to get in touch with me to restart the server or something my contact info can be found in the SB3 server's board, or you can send myself or @Rain a PM and I'll try and get around to it as soon as I have a chance.

Hey everyone sorry for the short notice, I thought I'd already posted this but I guess I hit the wrong button.

On August 12, 2017, 05:00:00 pm we will be having a PvP War event on the modded server.

During the event siege mode will be allowed on claims. This will let you perform PvP and break "soft" blocks in the claim once you begin a siege. DefenseTech weapons will also be allowed.

A backup will be made 1 hour before the event. After the event the world will be restored to this backup. A world download will be available for players who wish to explore the destruction.

The server will continue to run the pre-event world while we work on a 1.10+ version of the pack.

Automatic restarts after a server crash should now work again.

Please wait at least 5 minutes after a crash before contacting admins about it.
